This image is a tribute to a Rick Griffin concert poster for Santana, with the famous freedom torch.  It was referred to in Rolling Stone magazine when they previewed The Beastie Boys album Hello Nasty.  The story is that he received the image in New York City before the recording session of the song Dr Lee, PhD.  Lee shows up with his tour poster covered in lyrics, theories, and diagrams. Look for the open doors in the crown and torch and give that song a new listen as you may hear hints of the image.
